This 3800 sq ft West coast style vacation home is the perfect recreational retreat. Once you are settled in you can choose to relax in the home and surrounding grounds for your whole stay uninterrupted by traffic, or neighbors. Enjoy serene views of Maple Bay from one of the many deck spaces, enjoy sailing and boating activities around the fully serviced marinas or hike through acres of shaded forest on various forestry paths and roads starting right from your back door.

This luxury vacation home is on a peninsula and is surrounded by a forest reserve protected by a locked gate through which you can access the home by a 20 minute 5 km drive by vehicle. This virtually ensures your privacy. You can use this drive for access to the main roads throughout your stay or leave your vehicle at the marina parking lot. A 5 minute boat ride from the vacation home's waterfront in the supplied motorized dingy will put you in your vehicle. From there you are centrally located to explore the whole of Vancouver Island. You are a short drive to the Town of Duncan, Gulf Island ferries, and the city of Victoria is 1 hour to the South.

The home's large 20X20 master bedroom has a King size bed, large walk in closet, en-suite with shower and corner jacuzzi tub, wrap around windows and sliding door access to its own private deck space. Four skylights provide a view of the moon and stars by night from the bed and you will wake to a panoramic view of Maple Bay through the ample windows.

The other 2 bedrooms on the main floor have the same unimpeded view of the Bay and private access to the deck. One has a queen bed with walk in closet and the other has 2 oversize twins convertible to a King if desired. A ground level bedroom also has 2 over sized twins with views of Maple Bay.

The main floor is a fully equipped handcrafted cherry wood kitchen with granite counters, new SS appliances including warming oven. The kitchen, dining room and living room are all open design all with unimpeded Bay views. The plush carpeted living room area features all leather seating, entertainment unit, and of course, stunning Bay views. On the ground level there is a sitting area with TV/video and selection of videos and books. From here you can walk directly to the BBQ deck and outdoor seating.

Stonehouse Estate is located a short highway drive north of Victoria BC in the beautiful Cowichan Valley overlooking Quamichan Lake. This luxurious estate has everything you would expect from a 7000 sq ft luxury vacation home.

Pull up under the covered grand entrance and enter the home through the stylish double front doors. In front of you is a sweeping staircase to the second floor catwalk. To your left the living area with marble fireplace, 20 foot ceilings and a glass block wall. To your right an office complete with fax machine, wide screen TV and leather couches. In front is the main floor entertainment rooms. One is a surround sound theatre with a very large projection TV. The other, a rumpus room for the older kids or your buddies complete with a stand up hockey table, wide screen TV and seating for 8, ideal for watching the game.

The kitchen in Stonehouse Estate is the most impressive feature of the vacation home. Ergonomically designed making it possible for multiple chefs to work at the same time without getting in each other's way. You will find it perfect for every occasion, either just you making a midnight snack or for your catering team, preparing meals for your corporate retreat.

Climb the magnificent staircase to the second level to find 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a hot tub room and a dry sauna. 2 of the bedrooms have queen size beds, beautiful views and TVs. The 1 bedroom contains 2 queen size beds as well as a TV. The master bedroom and ensuite bathroom are spectacular. The master bedroom has a very .large wide screen TV at the end of the bed, a walk in closet large enough for all of your items and the one of a kind master bath. The bathroom comes complete with a second level in marble and white columns in the middle of which is the bathtub. There is a shower for convenience, a toilet, a bidet and a beautiful jade counter top and sink area with 10 feet of mirrors. Climb the stairs to the top floor to find more entertainment room with another hockey table, comfortable seating for 5, a bistro style siting area, a wide screen TV and access to the massive rooftop deck and BBQ with views of Quamichan Lake and the surrounding countryside.
